Ashley Hallemeier

Hi there, my name is Ashley Hallemeier. I started my life doing what everyone tells you to do when you are young. The whole going to college, getting a nice paying job, and buying my own home. For a while things seemed right with the world. Until my world was turned upside down! I went through a traumatic experience which caused me to develop severe depression and PTSD. I was at my lowest in life with thoughts of suicide on a daily basis. One day I was given a thought to ponder. Have you tried Crochet? I had never given this craft a try before because for a long time it was only associated with elderly ladies. I tried it out and what I noticed was my hands were not shaking as badly, I was concentrating on something creative,  and when the project was complete it put a smile on peoples faces. I had found my passion.  I am also a christian whose faith was shaken by this traumatic experience, but God reminded me of who I was to him and that he gave me this gift for a reason. I wish to use my gift in the hopes that even just for a moment it brings others to smile or laugh in a time where it feels as if there is nothing to smile about. My mission is to spread love through the art of crochet, because love truly is in the stitches.
